Travel Updates: Jan 29, 2010 : Limited Carry-On Permitted for Passengers Travelling to the United States:

Transport Canada has announced new regulations regarding carry-on luggage for passengers travelling to the United States. Effective January 20, passengers on these flights are now permitted to take one piece of carry-on luggage on board the aircraft. The carry-on bag must not exceed 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm.

Toronto Pearson is positioned along several major highway routes: 400, 401, 403, 407, 409, 410, 427, and the Gardiner Expressway. When on the highway, follow signs directing you to the airport.

GPS Directions: Enter "Toronto Pearson" in the "navigate to" field and enter "Terminal 1" or "Terminal 3" in the address field.

  • From Downtown Toronto (Union Station): Gardiner Expressway to Hwy 427 North, follow signs to Toronto Pearson.
  • From the West:
    • Hwy 401 East or the QEW to Hwy 427 North.
    • Hwy 403 East to Hwy 401 East to Hwy 427 North.
  • From the East:
    • Hwy 401 West to Hwy 409 North.
    • the Gardiner Expressway to Hwy 427 North.
    • Hwy 407 to Hwy 427 South.
  • From the North:
    • Hwy 400/404 South to Hwy 401 West to Hwy 409.
    • Hwy 410 South to Hwy 401 East to Hwy 427 North.
    • Hwy 427 South, Exit at Airport Road/Viscount Rd., follow signs to Toronto Pearson.

Drivers are encouraged to use the airport parking garages and meet passengers in the terminal.
 
Cell Phone Lot Pictogram. Follow this sign to the Cell Phone LotAlternatively, the GTAA's remote Cell Phone Lot, located on Network Drive next to Highway 409, provides a safe and legal place where drivers can wait for arriving passengers to call for a ride. There are 50 parking spaces available for a maximum time limit of 60 minutes. Vehicles must be turned off and attended at all times. The Cell Phone Lot is available and monitored 24 hours a day.
