Preparing for Summer Travel

Date of Release: Aug 08, 2007

The GTAA and CATSA remind passengers that there are restrictions in place regarding items that can be packed in carry-on bags. By arriving at the airport without prohibited items, security screening will be able to proceed more efficiently.

Liquids, gels and aerosols should be packed in checked baggage whenever possible and practical. All liquids, gels and aerosols in carry-on bags must be contained in one clear, zip-top plastic bag. More information is available at www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca.

Passengers are also reminded that the summer travel season has begun and it is very important to contact your airline to confirm your flight time before travelling to the airport.
