Last Chance to Submit Work for GTAA Juried Art Exhibition
The GTAA is pleased to announce its second juried art exhibition at Toronto Pearson. Artists residing in Ontario area codes: 416, 647, 905 and 289 are invited to submit work that deals with this year's theme: Coming Home.

An airport is a powerful signifier of coming home. It is a physical place where you put your feet back on solid ground after a flight. It can be an emotional place where friends and family are reunited. It can also be bittersweet. Coming home can be a comforting return to the familiar, but the familiar may also be mundane, especially after returning from an exciting travel adventure. The idea of coming home can evoke many images beyond the airport — a house, a country, a person, a feeling.

This year we are honoured to have Natalie Ribkoff, Curator, TD Bank Financial Group, Betty Ann Jordan, arts writer and critic, and Akira Yoshikawa, artist, to jury the exhibition. One work in the exhibition will be purchased for the GTAA corporate collection.

All entries must be received by Friday August 15, 2008

Each artist can submit up to two pieces. Works must be completed in two-dimensional media and follow entry criteria to be eligible. For complete details and an application form, please click here.

Coming Home will be on display from September 13, 2008 to January 25, 2009 in the Airspace Gallery, located in Terminal 1, above the Domestic Arrivals Hall.
